Top Five President's Day Sales

Some of my favorite online stores are having amazing sales right now. Here's a round up of the top five I'm hitting this weekend.

1. West Elm: Save 20% site wide with code SAVE20 -including this mid century mini desk, seen here as a vanity in my daughter's bathroom.

2. Jonathan Adler: Also on sale is the chair above, from Jonathan Adler - use code BIGSPENDER to save $50. for every $250 you spend.

3. Old Navy: 50% off site wide! Grabbing this adorable top while it's still in stock.

4. Nordstrom: This winter sale came at a perfect time as my son just went through a growth spurt - almost every pair of pants he owns is now too short. I'll be hitting up this sale for several items from the kid's department.

5.Horchow: There are some great items on sale, including these monogram bath mats. We're long over due from some fresh bath mats and towels in my daughters' bathroom.

Warm Weather Wishlist

I'm not a cold weather person. AT. ALL. So after two massive snow storms here in Connecticut, back to back last Thursday and Sunday, I decided to use my time cooped up at home wisely. Since we are less than a month away from our spring break trip down to Florida, I thought I'd do a little online browsing (and some shopping- currently waiting on these and this to arrive). Not only did it help to lift my spirits but it also helped me to lay off the carbs... a bit!

Home Tour: Vibrant and Glossy In New York City

It was the tufted blue velvet sectional featured in House Beautiful that drew me into this fabulous New York City apartment. Once it got my attention, everything else designer Nick Olsen did to transform this space completely won me over. From the high gloss walls and kitchen cabinets to the pops of lime and chartreuse, this home manages to be both masculine and glamorous at the same time! On a side note, House Beautiful is quickly on it's way to becoming my favorite shelter magazine - each issue just keeps getting better and better.
